We are proud of our science teacher Gvidus, who not only teaches fifth graders, but also inspires the entire school community to be interested in nature.
Teacher Gvidas has his own personal insect collection, which he started collecting during his student years. The collection, accumulated over several years, is rich and diverse – it includes beetles, butterflies, flies, bees, dragonflies, grasshoppers and other insect species, carefully classified by orders and families.
The insects presented in the collection are neatly bound, labeled and described, so students can not only examine them, but also learn to recognize different species.
Guido constantly shares his knowledge with his students, talking about the life and characteristics of insects. His lessons become even more interesting when students can see real exhibits live.
