Preschool education: when and how?

Preschool education at our institution is designed for children from 1.5 to 5 years old. We create a safe, inspiring environment where children naturally grow, explore, and learn through play and experience.

In everyday situations, children develop linguistic, cognitive, social and emotional abilities, form their first learning skills and a positive relationship with education.

Principles of education

„"Katinos dieneliai" education is based on the principles of contextual education - learning is done through real experiences, topics and children's interests. Each child can grow at their own pace, experience success, strengthen self-confidence and independence.

To strengthen emotional development, we use the Kimochis program, which helps children recognize and express feelings, learn to resolve conflicts, and build respectful relationships.

Bilingual environment

Activities are led throughout the day by Lithuanian and English language teachers. Language is learned naturally – through games, stories, songs, creativity and exploration. Such an environment expands vocabulary, strengthens communication and develops intercultural understanding.

Continuity of education

The preschool stage provides a solid foundation for early childhood education and a successful start to school. We strive for consistency, shared values, and a close partnership with the family.

Child's progress and relationship with parents

We actively involve parents in the educational process.

  • Through the Eliis diary, we share daily:
  • daily photos,
  • overview of activities,
  • a brief description of the day.

Three times a year, we provide detailed progress assessments with individual recommendations and invite you to conversations where we discuss your child's strengths, challenges, and future goals.

Teaching team

The group consists of 2–3 teachers:

  • one or two Lithuanian-speaking teachers,
  • an English-speaking teacher working in the classroom all day.

Children also participate in dance and music activities. If necessary, specialists - a speech therapist, psychologist, special educator, social worker - provide consultation.

Preschooler's Day

The day is structured but flexible. It includes:

  • morning circle,
  • two educational activities,
  • evening circle,
  • time outdoors, games, reading, experiments and trips.

Weekly plans and daily rhythms are available to parents in the Eliis system.

Our goal – so that every child feels safe, curious, and confident, and that learning is a joy for them.
